Congregational Notice - Upcoming Decisions
At the October Quarterly Meeting, the Elders introduced a revised Statement of Faith and explained 2 related initiatives:
1. Replacing our current Statement of Faith with new text for clarity.
2. Instituting biennial regenerative covenant renewal, every two years the church would corporately reaffirm its covenant commitments.
3. Updating the Constitution so that Articles III-V align with the above changes.
If the motion to adopt this Statement of Faith is approved, the Elders will propose changes to the Brownfield Baptist Church constitution. These changes will be voted on at the AGM scheduled for February 18, 2026. Specifically, we will amend.
Article III - Statement of Faith, (replaced)
Article IV - Congregational Covenant, (amended)
Article V - Membership (amended)
