Protecting Our Church Family: Volunteer Training

At Brownfield Baptist Church, we want to provide a safe, loving environment where children and youth can grow in their faith and experience the love of Christ. Protecting those entrusted to our care is a responsibility we all share.

This training helps ensure that everyone serving in our ministries understands our safety policies, knows how to recognize and respond to concerns, and is equipped to care for children and youth responsibly.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this training and for helping make BBC a safe and welcoming place for everyone!

Please note that we will also ask to see a criminal record and vulnerable sector check which can be requested at the police station.

Please understand that completing this training is an important step in preparing to serve, but does not automatically mean you are an approved to volunteer. Ministry leaders will help guide the approval process and continue to provide support, guidance, and oversight as we work together to create a safe and caring environment for everyone.

In-Person Training

We will run a one hour in person train session annually to talk though our Child Protection policy.

Self Directed Training

We know that it is sometimes difficult to attend every event so we are offering an option for you to go through on our own.
