Ryan & Siobhain Cole

Dear Friends at Brownfield Baptist Church,

We are so glad to have our new pilot neighbours now in PNG doing language and cultural training, we only have about 4 months left until they are able to join us in Telefomin!  We've also been blessed with new supporters, some who have kindly agreed to pray for us and some who have agreed to financially support our ministry regularly.  This is such a great encouragement that we are where we are supposed to be, despite the challenges we have been facing with our isolation.

Carey Theological College

Welcome to the inaugural edition of The Cobbler’s Bench, Carey’s newsletter and your inside look at life, learning, and ministry at Carey Theological College and student residence at UBC. The name “Cobbler’s Bench” draws from the story of William Carey, who studied Scripture and geography at his cobbler’s workbench—preparing, in ordinary faithfulness, for an extraordinary gospel mission.

Gull Lake

I live on the north end of Red Deer. The big city, as I like to call it. I make the commute to camp every day. I actually love my drive. I take the back roads in my old truck, and that is my twice-a-day quiet time. When you are the father of young children working at a summer camp, quiet times are hard to find! This morning, I noticed something on my meander into work. It was light. As northerners (at least north of the 49th), that light is so meaningful. Light is hope. Hope that winter will end. Hope that life will come back to the land and that the light of summer is just around the corner.

Circle Square Ranch

Marshall Kev here, dropping you a note to check in with you all.

I trust this letter finds you well and enjoying this Christmas

season that is upon us. Things around the ranch have slowed

down considerably in the last month. Beautiful white snow lies

across the fields where we run, play and adventure on the

backs of our horses. The coulees display a rugged beauty of

snow-covered spruce trees, sprinkled with freshly fallen snow.
