Update & Prayer

Please continue to pray for Renee, her kidneys don’t seem to be improving too much yet and she is on dialysis every other day or so. Her collapsed lung and resulting chest tubes seem to have taken a lot out of her. She is more drowsy with the meds and I think feeling a bit discouraged with the extra pain of the chest tubes. I think there is some overall improvement on the amount of control support needed on the vent but with everything she has going on she needs the break at times. They spent a lot of time trying to put in a new line yesterday as they had found bacteria in one if the lines. They still don’t know where the bigger infection is coming from in her body. Likely the broad spectrum antibiotics she is on are kind of masking that but if they could pinpoint where it is they could treat it more specifically.  Her sores in the back of her head are not doing very well but the doctor said it wasn’t that. She sat up in a chair for half an hour yesterday which was really good even though it was quite tiring for her.

On another note. I- Myrna have received notice that my mom in Manitoba is not doing well and we don’t expect her to be with us much longer. I was able to get Renee’s long time friend Geraldine to do a temporary trade as a designated support person for Renee so I can go see my mom. Today is my last day here for a little bit but we will still try and keep you posted. Thanks so much for praying, Renee has a long road ahead.
